Storm

It's now 12:45 AM... we are in a pretty big storm. I'm hoping that it's nothing more than noise and a lot of wind. Currently we are only in a flood warning. However, I have to say... I had a post typed about half way and the power went out for a bit. So I had to retype it.

Typically I would love storms... but I really like a closed in porch to watch them from. Not all for walls and a standard window. UGH! Oh well.

Here's to hoping the children sleep through all this... and hopefully we don't have any tornadoes! I'll update when I can... but I might fall asleep first!

Our Cast...

I'm your average 26 year old female. I play many roles in this life. I play the role of wife. I play the role of mom. I play the role of step-mom. I play the role of employee. I play the role of student. I am always on the go... but I love my life. It's a lot of work right now, but I'll get my reward someday! Dear Husband takes great care of the children and of me! He's everything that I could have asked for. He enjoys working with his hands and staying busy. He's never still for long. He's always trying to work on our house and make it better... but only between mowing and searching for a new job (in this economy).

The Princess is 9 years old. She's a ball of attitude that suddenly appeared in 3rd grade. She is now onto fourth grade. She's an honor roll student and enjoys making good grades. She loves her baby dolls and playing mom. She's either going to be raising kids, caring for someone else's kids, or maybe even in a position of helping people (nursing or something). She's hard headed (she gets that from her father) and has a sweet spirit. She loves dressing up and going to church.

The Dare Devil is just that... he's always trying something. Generally it's nothing that couldn't go very wrong! He will almost always try something once if it's approached right. Most of the time, he's trying everything you don't want him to! But in the same token, he will stop to rescue an animal and will cry for hours if one is hurt. I think he will be our little veterinarian or rescue home. The Dare Devil is 7 years old and is going to 1st grade!

Little Piglet has his name because at 5 years old, he's the smallest child in the family! That's not just because he's the youngest but because he has been diagnosed with FTT (Failure To Thrive). He's currently weighing in at 28 lbs. He begins kindergarten weighing in under the 3rd percentile (this is true of height too). He has an obsession with the police. He absolutely loves them! He might just be our next cop OR some kind of rescue person.
